What’s your guilty pleasure?
If you’re here, then I’m guessing at least one of them is ready romance novels!
While all of you may not consider it a ‘guilty pleasure’ it definitely is for some, and even if reading romance doesn’t trigger your guilt-o-meter, something else definitely does.
So, why should we indulge?
Simple. PURE PLEASURE!
I’m a believer in the law of attraction. That phrase has been bandied about a lot over the years but can, at least for me, be distilled down to a few straight-forward concepts.
One of those is that the purpose of life is Joy. (Yes, with a capital J.)
If you can get behind that idea, then you’ll start to see that doing and focusing on things that bring you joy can help you attract more of what you want into your life.
So… if that’s true, then engaging in those guilty pleasures (unless they trigger your guilt too much) can actually get you closer to everything you want in life.
Indulge away!
(I’ll do a part 2 on this to dig a little deeper into the distinction between a healthy guilty pleasure (one that gets you more of what you want) and one that might block you all up. No one wants that!)
(I’m also thinking I might need to do a little work on my guilty pleasure list… it seems to only contain food. And romance books. Hmm…)
